The video is worth the full 20-minute watch. It’s a truly mind-blowing business, and I didn’t fully appreciate how its supply chain and economics all work (and, how popular dollar stores have become in general).
Dollar General’s stock is down nearly 60% this year after a solid decade of growth (10x from 2009 to 2022). Just short-term panic? Or is this retail concept sustainable and defensible over the long run?
