It’s been an interesting couple of months for me to say the least, but I am excited to announce the addition of two new companies to my portfolio
New additions
The first company is called Supercast, it’s a tool that helps podcasters monetize their content beyond just ads. Supercast turns your listeners into paid members and unlocks sustainable, recurring revenue. The company is off to a blazing start, completing a $2m seed round. Happy to be a part of it, and strongly believe in the future of podcasting.

The second company is Maskwell, which produces masks with MERV 13 air filter inserts (capable of trapping virus carriers) intended for non-healthcare workers. This was a project that was launched by the PureFilters team, in collaboration with a local clothing manufacturer here in Toronto. Maskwell has already received thousands of pre-orders and the team is looking to send out the first shipments this week.

Updates on PureFilters and Trust & Will
Both PureFilters and Trust & Will have had record months as a direct result of the recent events.
Hardware stores being closed and social distancing measures have switched many offline buyers into online buyers for air & water filters. Many customers are now realizing its a lot more affordable and convenient to order their filters online compared to driving down to the hardware store.
The same situation for the estate planning business as many law offices are currently closed. Many people are now realizing its a lot more affordable and convenient to do their will or trust online.
I am very bullish on the future of eCommerce, SaaS, and other internet business models.
Still looking for deals
Lastly, I am still on the hunt for more angel investments and or acquisitions. I know there is a lot of opportunities currently out there, and I don’t intend on slowing pace.
